Ukraine halts parts of Russian gas to Europe

Ukrainian gas operator OGTS announced on Tuesday that from tomorrow it will be halting the transmission of Russian natural gas through the Luhansk region Sokhranivka gas station.

"OGTS informs that from 07:00 on May 11, 2022, gas will not be accepted into the Ukrainian GTS at the physical point of the Sokhranivka junction," the OGTS announcement read.

The Ukrainian gas operator also noted that the cessation of gas transport through the Sokhranivka junction and the Novopskov compressor station is related to the logistical interruptions by the Russian occupying force.
