Ukraine planning 'major' offensive near ZNPP - official

Ukrainian troops are preparing for a "major" offensive in the area of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Civil-Military Administration of the region, told Russia 1 TV channel on Monday.

Rogov noted that the Ukrainian army began transferring "a large number of heavy guns, M777, HIMARS, MLRS" and other heavy artillery to the area.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov urged Kiev to "stop the barbaric shelling of objects" on the territory of Zaporizhzhia and warned of "catastrophic consequences."
