Permanent representative of Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk announced on Monday that a proposal for terminating the free trade agreement with Belarus was filed during the day.
In a Telegram message, Melnychuk stated that the alleged involvement of Minsk in the conflict between Moscow and Kiev and the "illegal use of force against Ukraine" were the main reasons for the proposition. The current free trade agreement between the two countries has been in effect since December 17, 1992.
Furthermore, they suggested that two other protocols related to the same trade be terminated as well.
