Ukraine reportedly sending aircraft to other countries

The Ukrainian military is deploying aircraft to partner countries, the Russian news outlet Ria Novosti reported on Saturday citing a source in Russian security forces. Ukraine is allegedly sending the most jets to Poland while using domestic airfields for refueling and replenishing ammunition.

According to the source, the goal is to preserve aircraft from being targeted by Russia, "since a strike on the territory of third countries would lead to a direct clash with the EU and NATO countries." Ukraine has likely received the first F-16 fighter jets from its allies, which it sees as crucial to its ability to continue to defend itself from Russia.
