The death toll of Russia's recent attack on Lviv has risen to seven, including three children, Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced in a Telegram post on Wednesday.
Earlier today, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy said in a post on Telegram that the Russian troops attacked Lviv early Wednesday morning. According to the Lviv regional administration head, Maksym Kozytskyi, there are at least 47 people injured in the attack as the search and rescue efforts continue. "The biggest difficulty is that one of the locations in a very limited area has a great depth of fill. There may still be people under it," Kozytskyi added in his Telegram post.
This strike comes only a day after a missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Poltava resulted in a death toll of 50, prompting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to once again ask for permission from the West to use long-range weaponry against Russia.
