Russian forces on Saturday started shelling the eastern part of the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine, Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko announced.
"Another morning in Donetsk begins with Russian shelling," said the official. "The Russians are shooting at civilians — and will continue to shoot. The only correct way out is evacuation," he warned.
Kyrylenko said a hospital, a palace of culture, residential buildings and a playground were damaged in Druzhkivka, a private house in Slovyansk, as well as a railway station in Chasovoy Yar. At least one person is known to have died in Semigirya overnight, while other information about the potential victims remains unknown.
