The Ukrainian Air Force overnight on Friday grounded two Russian Ka-52 helicopters that flew over the war-torn Mykolaiv region, mayor of the regional capital, Oleksandr Sienkovych, announced on his Telegram channel.
The official said the nation's army also brought down three enemy kamikaze drones as well as three other units of the Russian defense forces.
In a separate post early on Saturday, the official warned citizens about the possibility of missile strikes in the area, noting that an air alarm was activated around 8:09 am.
