Ukraine: Russia's terms for negotiations unacceptable

Advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak, stated on Tuesday that the terms Russia offered in order for the peace negotiations between the two countries to start are unacceptable.

"Russian ultimatums are well-known: 'We arrived on tanks. Admit defeat and loss of territories.' These conditions are unacceptable. So what is there to talk about? Are you just hiding the word 'surrender' in the word 'settlement'?" Podolyak wrote on Twitter.

Moscow demanded that the international community recognizes the results of referenda in the areas of Ukraine it claims as its own and acknowledges them as parts of Russia's territory.
