Ukrainian forces have made progress in Kharkiv Oblast in recapturing the city of Balakliya, according to regional governor, Oleg Sinegubov.
"Balakliya is Ukraine," said the official, noting that the Ukrainian flag was raised in the war-struck city. "Boys and girls of the Armed Forces, today you are creating a new history of free Ukraine, we are proud," Sinegubov said.
The news comes shortly after the governor made the announcement that one civilian life was lost, in the region overnight.
