The shares of UniCredit S.p.A. soared over 8% during the trading session on Monday after the company reported better than expected fourth-quarter and full-year financial results.
The Italian bank reported that its total revenue in the last trimester of fiscal 2023 rose by 4.6% compared to the same period of 2022, landing at €5.98 billion, while the full-year revenue amounted to €23.84 billion, marking a 17.6% annual increase. The company also said that its earnings per share (EPS) in the fourth quarter skyrocketed 35.6% in comparison with the last three months of 2022, reaching €1.11.
UniCredit's stock surged by 8.31% at 9:15 am CET, to sell for €28.880 apiece.
