UnitedHealth names Patrick Conway as new Optum CEO

UnitedHealth Group announced on Tuesday key executive changes, set to take effect May 6, as part of its long-term strategy to broaden leadership experience across its business units.

The move positions Dr. Patrick Conway as Optum's new CEO, replacing Heather Cianfrocco, who will take on a broader corporate role.

Cianfrocco will become executive vice president of Governance, Compliance, and Information Security at UnitedHealth Group.
