UnitedHealth reportedly targeted by antitrust probe

The United States Department of Justice has been doing a serious of interviews to representatives, doctors and industries related to UnitedHealth businesses as part of an antitrust investigation launched to examine if its Optum health-services branch is affecting rivals and clients, The Wall Street Journal reported late Tuesday.

In its latest earnings report, the company said its revenue for the fourth quarter of 2023 jumped by 14% annually to $94.4 billion, exceeding expectations while diluted earnings per share increased 16% to $5.83.
