Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) said on Saturday, while addressing the summit in Jeddah, that "unrealistic" energy policies will only worsen the future of the global economy.

"Adopting unrealistic policies to reduce emissions by excluding main sources of energy will lead in coming years to unprecedented inflation and an increase in energy prices and rising unemployment and a worsening of serious social and security problems," the crown prince noted.

Previously, US officials noted that a deal between Washington and Riyadh on oil production is not likely to be announced during US President Joe Biden's visit to Saudi Arabia.
