United States Vice President JD Vance met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday to discuss the trade policy between the two countries.

According to a statement posted by the Indian government, the two welcomed the "significant progress" made on the matter.

"Likewise, they noted continued efforts towards enhancing cooperation in energy, defence, strategic technologies and other areas," it was written in the statement.
