Palestinian Islamic Jihad confirms deaths of 2 leaders in Syria

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) announced on Saturday the deaths of two of its senior members, Abdel Aziz Minawi and Rasmi Yusuf Abu Issa, who were killed by Israeli forces in Syria.

"The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine mourns the martyrdom of Political Bureau member Abdul Aziz al-Minawi and Foreign Relations Officer Rasmi Abu Issa in the Israeli raid on the Qudsaya area in Damascus," the paramilitary group posted on Telegram. "We confirm that the zionist crimes and the policy of terrorist assassinations will not deter us from continuing the path of Jihad and resistance."

Earlier, the Israeli military targeted sites associated with the organization in Damascus. These strikes resulted in at least 15 fatalities, as reported by the Syrian Defense Ministry.
