Verstappen wins Chinese GP sprint race

Red Bull's Max Verstappen took the victory on Saturday in the Formula One Chinese Grand Prix sprint race, in Shanghai.

Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton trailed right behind, taking second place with a 13.043-second delay. In third came Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez, finishing 15.258 seconds behind.

Moving on, fourth and fifth places were occupied by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who finished 17.486 seconds and 20.696 seconds after Verstappen. In sixth and seventh places were McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, with a delay of 22.088 seconds and 24.713 seconds respectively. Mercedes' George Russell took the eighth spot on the list, while Sauber's Zhou Guanyu and Haas driver Kevin Magnussen occupied the last two slots in the top ten.
