Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix on Sunday, denying Lewis Hamilton his first victory of the season with only three races to go. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc came in third.
Verstappen, who was declared champion after the last GP in Japan, took the lead from Hamilton only a few laps before the end, holding the Mercedes driver off and managing not to earn a last warning for track limits that would have seen him get a five-second penalty. Meanwhile, Leclerc fought off Sergio Perez for the podium finish.
Red Bull Racing won the 2022 constructors' championship after the US GP.
