Dutch Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen clinched victory at the Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday, bumping pole-sitter McLaren's Oscar Piastri to second place, a day after defending his championship title.
Piastri's teammate Lando Norris finished third, while the fourth and fifth places went to George Russell of Mercedes and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
"What made the race was my first stint, after that I could just manage my pace, making sure that the tires were always in a good window. But the McLarens were quick again today, I had to push for it, it was definitely a tough race out there," Verstappen said after the win.
