EPA/JOERG CARSTENSEN

Visa Inc. announced on Tuesday the appointment of Antony Cahill as Chief Executive Officer for its European operations, pending regulatory approval. Cahill will take over from Charlotte Hogg, who is leaving after eight years with the company.

Based in London, Cahill is expected to begin his new role in early June. Since 2023, he has led Visa's Value-Added Services division, overseeing more than 200 products and driving annual revenue growth of over 20%, the firm said. He previously served as Deputy CEO for Visa Europe. Cahill joined Visa in 2018 after holding senior roles at National Australia Bank and spending 12 years at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group.

"With Antony's experience in the region, deep understanding of the diversity and complexity of our markets and strong relationships with our partners, he is uniquely qualified to lead Visa Europe," Visa CEO Ryan McInerney noted.
