EPA-EFE/ADAM VAUGHAN

The upcoming week promises to be eventful with investors closely monitoring another batch of earnings from major global companies and the potential effects of a trade war on global supply chains after United States President Donald Trump introduced new tariffs on China.

Some of the leading global companies such as Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Robinhood, Sony, and others will declare their quarterly financial results. Major European banks and companies are also set to report their earnings. Meanwhile, prominent figures from the world of business, science, and politics will discuss the global impact of artificial intelligence at an AI summit in Paris.

On Tuesday, US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will testify before Congress in what could be an important moment for gauging the Fed's current outlook. Economic data will include US and German CPI reports and the United Kingdom's and Eurozone's GDP.

In other news, markets will continue to watch Trump's tariff policies toward the EU, Canada, and Mexico and their wider economic and geopolitical implications. Trump will also host India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington.
