The White House is planning to make a seating chart for press briefings, Axios reported on Sunday. Currently, reporters make their own seating arrangements through the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA). Earlier this year, US President Donald Trump banned the Associated Press from the White House press pool.

The report said the WHCA is trying to compromise with the White House and considering making the White House press secretary the permanent president of the association.
