WH asks Supreme Court to give DOGE acces to SSA

The administration of United States President Donald Trump has asked the US Supreme Court to grant Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to the Social Security Administration's (SSA) systems, according to the AP.

The government argued that DOGE requires access to the systems so it can target waste in the SSA, which Musk previously described as a "Ponzi scheme."

This comes after District Judge Ellen Hollander blocked DOGE from accessing SSA systems, stating that the team was "essentially engaged in a fishing expedition at SSA, in search of a fraud epidemic, based on little more than suspicion."
