WH says wasn't aware of DoJ's Trump decision

The Biden administration was not aware of the appointment of a special counsel who will oversee the United States Department of Justice's investigation into presidential candidate Donald Trump, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre asserted on Friday.

The White House was not involved in this or any other investigation and was not given advance notice about it by the DoJ, she told reporters.

Jean-Pierre added that President Joe Biden has "no reaction" to the news.
