United States President Joe Biden has been informed of the plane crash that occurred in Russia and potentially involved the Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, the White House told the media on Wednesday.
"We have seen the reports. If confirmed, no one should be surprised. The disastrous war in Ukraine led to a private army marching on Moscow, and now – it would seem — to this," the National Security Council's (NSC) spokesperson Adrienne Watson stated.
Meanwhile, it was reported that eight people died in the crash, however, it has not been confirmed yet if Prigozhin was indeed on board and if he was one of the victims.
