United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Monday during a press briefing that while many news outlets were writing China's economy "was on track" to surpass that of the US by the end of the decade, that is not likely.
"Now, on current course and speed, they are unlikely to ever surpass us," Sullivan stressed. Talking about investing in America, he noted that with Biden's efforts, "our cutting-edge technologies, [including] AI, biotech, quantum and others are the envy of the world."
Sullivan remarked that Washington's alliances in Europe and Asia "have never been stronger."
