United States National Security Council chief spokesman John Kirby shared on Friday that North Korea's latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch, which is said to have the capability of carrying multiple warheads and reaching the US, although "concerning," was not deemed as "a threat to the homeland."
Speaking at a press briefing, Kirby went on to say that Washington had no direct communication with Pyongyang. He added that the latter did not send a response to the US offer for dialogue.
This week, North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the direction of the East Sea, as it continued to urge the US and South Korea to halt joint military exercises.
