United States Donald Trump said that the "ball is in China's court" to decide whether it wants to reach a tariff agreement with the US, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Tuesday.
Citing Trump, Leavitt stated that "China needs" the deal, not the US, stressing that the Asian country, as well as all others, wants what the US has, "the American consumer."
The White House press secretary stressed that Trump is "open to a deal" with Beijing, but that China is the one that needs the deal as they "need our money."
