WH: Trump still open to diplomacy with Iran

United States President Donald Trump continues to believe that diplomacy remains an option with Iran, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday.

Speaking at her regular press briefing, the White House press secretary added that " the president is being very clear" and that "he believes diplomacy is still an option." Leavitt confirmed that correspondence with Iran has continued.

Answering another question about the order Trump signed extending the TikTok divestment deadline by 90 days, the White House representative said the president remains committed to reaching a resolution that protects national security while allowing millions of Americans to continue using the app.
