White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Tuesday that United States President Donald Trump wants to see the dollar "remain as the world's reserve currency."
At a press briefing, Leavitt stressed that the US currency needs to uphold its position for "our long-term fiscal stability and our economic growth."
Meanwhile, going back to Trump's comments about Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, Leavitt reiterated that the US president believes that the central bank has been making moves "in the name of politics rather [than] in the name of what's right for the American economy."
