World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where 90% of the population now lives in tents. He warned that these conditions expose people to respiratory illnesses, food shortages, malnutrition and other diseases, especially with winter nearing.

"The ultimate solution to this suffering is not aid but peace," Tedros said, emphasizing the need for lasting resolutions to the conflict. The WHO chief's statement reflects growing concerns over the worsening health and living conditions in the region.
