World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (pictured) was at the Sanaa International Airport in Yemen at the time of an Israeli attack, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday, citing an unnamed source from the airport.

"The Israeli airstrike on Sanaa International Airport occurred at a time when WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was preparing to board a private UN jet and leave Sanaa, and there is information that he is alive," the source told the media outlet.

According to the report, two airport employees were killed and the captain of the UN plane was injured in the strike.
