The World Health Organization Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge (pictured) petitioned for more funds to be distributed to Ukraine on Friday.
Kluge specified that the proposed sum amounts to $240 million for 2023, where $160 million would be provided directly to Ukraine and $80 million to countries receiving refugees.
He underscored the issue of deteriorating mental health in the country gripped by the conflict, estimating that almost 10 million people may suffer from related conditions.
