Markets on Wall Street closed with losses on Tuesday as investors digested the latest job openings report and awaited the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision scheduled for tomorrow. On the earnings front, Uber and Pfizer published their results earlier in the day and AMD, Ford and Starbucks are among the companies set to report after the bell.
The Dow Jones dropped 1.08% or 367 points. Chevron led the losses as its shares plummeted 4.31%.
The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.89%. The worst performer was PDD Holdings, down 6.41%.
The S&P 500 slid 1.16% with Arista Networks tumbling 15.72%.
The euro added 0.29% against the dollar to sell for 1.10070 at 3:59 pm ET.
