Wall Street mostly up premarket amid data, earnings

Major stock indexes in the United States were mostly higher during premarket trading on Tuesday as market participants awaited new reports on the country's foreign trade and business climate. In business, PepsiCo, Inc. is expected to release its third-quarter financial results before the opening bell.

The Dow Jones was flat at 4:18 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 added 0.12%, and the S&P 500 improved by 0.11%.

The euro gained 0.12% compared to the dollar, changing hands at $1.09881 at 4:19 am ET.

US stocks extend gains premarket, Nasdaq up 300 pts
Major stock markets ticked higher in the premarket session as investors look toward an earnings-packed week ahead and President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 0.59% or 250 points at 9:01 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 skyrocketed 1.43.% or 300 points and the S&P 500 climbed 0.76%, respectively. The euro was down 0.12% against the dollar a minute later, selling for $1.02882.
