Wall Street up at open as Middle East tensions ease

Major United States stock exchanges traded with gains at the open on Tuesday as fears over a larger conflict escalation in the Middle East dissipated with US President Donald Trump announcing that Israel and Iran reached a ceasefire deal. Over in business, BlackBerry and FedEx are set to reveal their latest financial results later in the day.

The Dow Jones gained 0.65% or 275 points at the opening bell, with Visa up 2.51% at 9:31 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.92% at 9:30 am ET, as Broadcom grew 3.81% a minute later. The S&P 500 advanced by 0.66% at the beginning of the session, as Carnival shot up 7.78% at 9:31 am ET.

The euro stood flat against the dollar at 9:29 am ET, going for 1.15848.
