Walmart announced on Tuesday it will test driverless delivery services using General Motors's all-electric Cruise vehicle.

"As part of the pilot, which begins early next year, customers can place an order from their local store and have it delivered, contact-free, via one of Cruise’s all-electric self-driving cars," the retail giant stated.

Walmart has already tested grocery delivery using self-driving vehicles as it struck deals with several automakers including Ford and autonomous vehicle company Nuro.
