WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar steps down - report

WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar expects to step down next Friday, as reported by The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, citing a memo to staff viewed by the newspaper.

"Now is the right time to share with each of you that I will be departing this amazing company as the transaction closes," reads the statement.

The move occurs before WarnerMedia's parent company, AT&T Inc., and Discovery Inc., finalize a deal to merge their media assets under a new publicly listed company called Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. The agreement was announced for the first time in May 2021.
