Co-working space provider WeWork Inc. revealed on Monday in a statement that David Tolley has officially stepped up as the new company's Chief Executive Officer after being part of the board since February and performing as interim CEO since May in replacement of Sandeep Mathrani.
"Over the past few months, we have taken decisive and focused actions to improve our business … The steps we are taking now to achieve our goals not only help us achieve profitability and sustain growth but will position us to serve our members better for the long term," Tolley mentioned.
The change in leadership comes months after the company went through solvency problems, a renegotiation of its leases, and an alleged consideration of bankruptcy by the company's creditors.
