The foreign ministers of France, Germany and Poland (pictured) expressed their intent to meet with the foreign minister of Ukraine in the "nearest future," according to a joint statement released by the French Foreign Ministry, following the Weimar Triangle meeting held on February 12 in France.
"Russia is targeting us with hybrid actions, through disinformation, cyber-attacks and political interference, with the aim to sow division in our democratic societies," the statement stressed, adding that the Weimar Triangle countries will establish an "alert scheme on Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference" to safeguard elections in the European Union from Russian interference.
"European security interests are at stake in this war," the statement read, exclaiming further that Germany, France and Poland will take necessary steps to ensure the failure of Russian "illegal aggression" in Ukraine.
