White House confirmed Friday that National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan (pictured) had visited Kiev today and held meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, and the Minister of Defense Reznikov.
According to the release published by the White House, Sullivan announced "an additional $400 million security assistance package, which includes refurbished T-72 tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles, and the refurbishment of 250 HAWK surface-to-air missiles for eventual transfer to Ukraine."
He also reaffirmed the continuation of economic and humanitarian aid to the country and ongoing efforts with allies to hold Russia responsible for its attacks.
