White House: Biden, Xi to meet on November 15

United States President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will meet on November 15 on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's (APEC) summit, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed in a statement published on Friday.

"The Leaders will discuss issues in the US-PRC [People's Republic of China] bilateral relationship, the continued importance of maintaining open lines of communication, and a range of regional and global issues," Jean-Pierre stated. She added that Biden and Xi will also assess how the two countries "can continue to responsibly manage competition and work together where our interests align."

Earlier this week, it was reported that Biden and Xi will discuss re-establishing military-to-military cooperation between the US and China.
