WiLAN Inc confirmed on Tuesday that it signed a patent license agreement with Apple Inc after the patent dispute the two companies had.
The agreement contains a reimbursement and dismissal of all disputes between WiLAN, its subsidiary Polaris and Apple in the United States, Canada, and Germany.
While the details of the agreement were not officially disclosed, the agreement comes after WiLAN claimed that iPhone 5 and 6 models infringed its patents by using the LTE wireless standard. Apple filed a lawsuit in federal court against Quarterhill Inc's WiLAN in 2014 and later won an appeal to dismiss an $85 million award to WiLAN.
