Social media network X announced on Wednesday that it filed an individual application before the Turkish Constitutional Court after the country's Information and Communication Technologies Authority requested that it delete 126 accounts amid mass protests in the country. The agency previously ordered X to suspend over 700 accounts of "news organizations, journalists, political figures, students, and others," according to the network.
"X is committed to protect [sic] its users' rights to free speech globally and we will continue to use all legal avenues available to defend our users’ speech," the platform owned by Elon Musk said.
