Chinese President Xi Jinping (pictured right) and French President Emmanuel Macron (left) said on Tuesday that they condemn all violations of international humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip and oppose Israel's offensive on Rafah, "which would lead to a humanitarian disaster on a larger scale, as well as to forced displacement of Palestinian civilians."
During Xi's visit to France, the two leaders also urged an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid, and the "immediate and unconditional" release of all Israeli hostages held by Hamas. They denounced Israeli settlements in the West Bank and repeated calls for a two-state solution.
