Chinese President Xi Jinping called for "more targeted" measures when carrying out patriotic health campaigns.
Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the first patriotic health campaign on Monday, Xi noted that their goal should be educating the Chinese people about health and promoting healthy lifestyles, which should lead to building a "social defense line for epidemic prevention and control."
Premier Li Keqiang added that optimized measures to prevent and control the coronavirus are being implemented in an orderly manner, stressing that governments at all levels should intensify their efforts to ensure that quantities of medical treatment and anti-epidemic supplies meet the needs of the people.
