China's President Xi Jinping will embark on his first foreign trip in 2025 and travel to Vietnam, followed by visits to Malaysia and Cambodia from April 14 to April 15, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Friday.
"Neighboring countries are China's priority in its diplomacy. China and Southeast Asian countries are good neighbors, good friends, and good partners with a shared future," the ministry said in a statement.
Notably, Xi's foreign trips are set to take place amid increasing trade tensions between Beijing and Washington.
