United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Tuesday that she expects that "inflation will continue to come down over time."
However, "rents are keeping inflation higher than we would like," Yellen shared while testifying before the US House Financial Services Committee.
The secretary went on to say that she sees less inflationary pressure from the labor market and that she believes that the "big inflationary impulse seen in 2022 was global in nature and stemmed from supply problems after the COVID-19 pandemic."
