Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov called on Friday for continuing to highlight the crimes committed by the Ukrainian military against civilians in the Kursk region, despite what he described as the international community's "deafness" to such atrocities.
"We need to talk about this, we need to voice it, show it. Despite all the deafness of the international community and the unwillingness to pay attention to such atrocities, we still need to tirelessly continue to appeal to their conscience and their attention," Peskov told journalists, commenting on Russkoye Porechnoye.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Investigative Committee disclosed that it had identified Ukrainian servicemen involved in the murder of 22 civilians in Russkoye Porechnoye after illegally crossing the Russian border in September 2024. One suspect admitted guilt during interrogation, describing crimes that resulted in the deaths of 14 civilians and the rape and murder of 8 women.
