South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol stated Wednesday that if North Korea uses nuclear weapons, his country and the United States "will strengthen" the "response in a swift manner."

During the press conference following the meeting between Yoon and US President Joe Biden, the two countries agreed on their nuclear policy regarding North Korea. In that regard, Biden warned that any attack on the US or its partners would result in the "end of whatever regime was to take such an action"

Nevertheless, Biden reiterated that the US will not be stationing nuclear weapons in the region while acknowledging only the possibility of nuclear submarine visits.
