South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol underlined on Thursday in a statement that Seoul "won't sit idle" while North Korea deploys its troops to Russia.
The South Korean president called Pyongyang's latest actions a "provocation." "Depending on the progress of Russia-North Korea cooperation, we will take necessary measures step by step, together with the international community," he remarked.
Yoon reiterated that the military collaboration between the two countries violates both the United Nations Charter and the UN Security Council resolutions, adding that the security of not only the Korean Peninsula but also the entire world is being brought into jeopardy.
